Join with us beachside for our GPS (Grasping Power Through Surrender) Retreat in beautiful, warm, sunny Galveston, Texas this February. You will experience an amazing time of fellowship, worshipping, fun and learning together in a small group setting of women physicians led by WPC facilitators. These retreats are limited in size, allowing attendees to both interact in a small group setting and also spend time in solitude finding God’s direction for their lives.

Fees and Costs

$400 per person

Registration fee includes food, lodging at Indian Beach, Galveston, TX; retreat administrative costs and materials.

Does not include your flight or transportation from the airport. Carpools will be arranged as possible.

Cancellation Policy: Due to the nature of this particular retreat being a very small group, refunds will not normally be granted.

Venue Information

Salty Blue Mermaid (new construction 2019), absolutely gorgeous four bedrooms and four full baths, only steps to the beach and near the beach walkover. Salty Blue Mermaid has a large open-concept living/dining/kitchen area. The living area has a very large sectional sofa, so seating for everyone. The large table and chairs along with seating at the island will accommodate all of the guests so everyone can sit for a meal. Three bedrooms each have a king-size bed and private bathroom and walk-out access to the deck. The fourth bedroom in a custom made bunk rooms with 3 sets of twin bunks. No sleeper sofas in this property – everyone in a bed. The walk-out balcony features ample seating and a nice view of the water as the homes in this neighborhood were built for their view of the water, situated on the lot so each home has a nice view. Salty Blue Mermaid is close to the water located in the secluded Indian Beach subdivision – it’s quiet and nice. Guests will find everything they need in the fully outfitted kitchen to prepare meals for up to 12 guests. The driveway at this home will accommodate 4 large motor vehicles. This home has an outdoor shower (please rinse sand off before entering the home), a picnic table under the house for shady breezes, and a charcoal grill for preparing tonight’s feast! This home is strictly NON-SMOKING and NO PETS please.

The GPS Retreat will be led by long-time WPC leader/member, Dr. Autumn Dawn-Galbreath, with Kellie Hooker serving as host/administrator.

Schedule

The retreat starts at 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27 and ends at 11 a.m. Sunday March 1. All attendees must be present for the entire event. GPS includes group time, prayer partner time, and individual time as well as worship on Sunday.
