An eye opening tour for first and second timers alike! This tour combines the basis of Old and New Testament together with features of Modern Israel.

Registration Information

Tour Package includes

  • All first-class hotel arrangements from Tuesday’s arrival through departure (based on double occupancy)
  • All land transportation after arrival from the U.S. (airport transfers are available for an additional fee)
  • Two meals per day (breakfast and dinner) – beginning with dinner on the day of arrival through breakfast on the day of departure

Activity Level
The activity level for this tour is moderately strenuous. You should be able to walk several miles on uneven terrain without difficulty. If you have mobility issues, this tour may not be for you. If you have questions, please contact Kim Hodge before registering.

Cancellation Fees 
Cancellations and requests for refund must be submitted in writing to the Christian Medical & Dental Associations at the address below or by email.

Cancellation charges will be assessed as follows:

Schedule

An eye opening tour for first and second timers alike! This tour combines the basis of Old and New Testament together with features of Modern Israel.

Tuesday, Jan. 21 – Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport for transfer to hotel on the coast and a good night’s sleep.

Wednesday, Jan. 22 – Up the coast to the Galilee
We’ll visit the ancient Herodian port Caesarea, visit the 2,000 year old theater, ruins and remains of the port where Paul sailed off to Rome. We are then off to Mt. Carmel, where Elijah battled the Gods of Baal and where we will see an overall view of the Valley of Armageddon. At the fortress city of Megiddo, this features nearly 25 levels of civilization. We will walk through its ruins and see for ourselves its strategic significance. The beautiful mosaics of Zippori are a must – a city that reveled during the time of Christ. As we end the day we’ll drive through the childhood home of Nazareth and Cana, the sight where, at the wedding, Christ performs the first miracle. We end with a visit to the Nazareth Village before proceeding to our hotel by the Sea of Galilee.

Thursday, Jan. 23 – In the Footsteps of Jesus in the Galilee
Today we enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. We’ll be able to see for ourselves the remains a 2,000 year old fishing boat from the period of Christ. At the ruins of Capernaum we will visit “His own Town.” the home of Christ during his Galilean Ministry and also where many of His miracles were performed. Then up to the Mt. of Beatitudes, the sight of the ”Sermon on the Mount.” Finally, we will see the ruins of Bethsaida where Jesus fed the 5,000.

Friday, Jan. 24 – The Northern Reaches of the Promised Land
We will travel north to the strategic Golan Heights; visit Banias (Caesarea Phillipi) and Tel Dan to see Jeroboam’s Altar.

Saturday, Jan. 25 – Come, Let Us Go Up to Jerusalem
You’ll have an opportunity to be baptized at the Jordan River Baptismal Site. We’ll visit biblical city of Beit She’an and learn about the events concerning King Saul and his sons. We’ll then make our way through the Jordan Valley, visit Tel Jericho, take in a view of the Wadi Qelt and the ancient road to Jerusalem. From there we will go to Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found and then go up to Jerusalem and finish our day at the Mount of Olives.

Sunday, Jan. 26 – Jerusalem of Today, Bethlehem of Yesterday
We begin today by traveling to Bethlehem, and from there we make our way back to Jerusalem to visit he House of Caiaphas where Jesus spent his list night before going to the cross. The Upper Room, Garden of Gethsemane, and the Friends of Zion Museum round out a full day for our group of pilgrims.

Monday, Jan. 27 – The Judean Wilderness
Down to the lowest part of the earth! At Masada we will learn about the Zealot’s final stand against the might of Rome; we’ll have a chance to hike the Oasis Ein Gedi. Have a relaxing swim in the Dead Sea then visit Genesis Land, complete with camel rides and dinner in Abraham’s Tent – the ultimate desert experience!

Tuesday, Jan. 28 – Jerusalem of Old
Entering the Old City we will walk along the Via Dolorosa and visit the Pool of Bethesda, Western Wall and Rabbi’s Tunnel, and Southern Steps. We finish our day at the Jerusalem Archeological Museum.

Wednesday, Jan. 29 – Remembering the Past and Looking Toward the Future
On our last full day in Jerusalem we will visit Yad Vashem, Israel’s Holocaust Museum, the Israel Museum, and celebrate communion together at the picturesque Garden Tomb. Finally, you will be able to enjoy some free time in the Old City of Jerusalem before our final dinner together.

Thursday, Jan. 30Homeward
Check out of the hotel and take a transfer to the Tel Aviv airport.
