Knoxville CMDA Fall Banquet
September 24, 2020
7 pm – 9 pm
Join us for a special evening for healthcare professionals and spouses to enjoy fellowship with others as well as relax and learn about ways to mitigate many of the challenges we face and avoid anxiety, depression and burnout.
Steve Sartori, MD, Director of CMDA’s Center for Well-being, will be speaking on the topic of “Trust Your Compass: Managing Moral Distress.”
Healthcare professionals work in an environment replete with moral and ethical challenges. These challenges can result in moral distress, leading to burnout and disengagement from work. This presentation will develop the concept of moral distress, examine some common moral stressors, and discuss principles to guide the responses of healthcare professionals.
Continuing education credit will be available for healthcare professionals.
Spouses are invited.
