Dear colleague,
Let me personally invite you to join me for a long weekend this fall dedicated to fly fishing and fellowship with other Christian healthcare professionals in Northeast Tennessee. Our region is truly fortunate to boast two exceptional trophy trout rivers: the Watauga and South Holston. I frequently fish these rivers, where it is common to catch brown and rainbow trout during a trip.
This South Holton is 15-mile tailrace hosting 7,000 to 10,000 trout per mile and is best known for its huge population of wild brown trout, consistent hatches and year-round fly-fishing opportunities. Lefty Kreh’s quote says it best “Perhaps the best trout fishing in the east.”
We have hired guides from Trophy Water Guide Services for the weekend, and there will be a professional guide for every two anglers. They will provide all the equipment and tackle. An experienced guide for every two anglers ensures you’ll receive personalized attention and guidance throughout your fishing trip. They are my “go-to” guides and will put us on some big fish!
Previous fly-fishing experience is not required as our guides will provide instruction and teach you everything you need to know to catch fish. We will be float fishing each day to help us cover a lot of water. This event is a great opportunity for fun and fellowship regardless of your experience level! Just click here for more information or to register. UPDATE THIS LINK ONCE ADDED TO iMIS and THE WEB
I’m already looking forward to our time together and some great fishing. Space is extremely limited due to the number of guides available in the area, so don’t wait too long to register!
Hope to see you in September,
David Stevens, MD, MA (Ethics)
