One of the most significant issues in missions in the twenty-first century is unhealthy dependency. Ignoring the problem won’t make it go away, we must do something about it. Jesus never intended that taking the Gospel to the unreached should be a spectator sport! Local people should be engaged, their wisdom sought, and their culture considered. To enter the scene as an “expert” can be very damaging to those who are pushed aside. The issues are complex, but this book will help you understand and become part of the solution, rather than the problem.
