Your Privileged Position by Paul O. Gerritson, MDiv

Your Privileged Position: Walking in the Footsteps of Jesus as a Christian in Healthcare is a devotional study guide crafted specifically to help Christians in healthcare keep their faith a meaningful and fulfilling part of how they practice. Consisting of an opening section describing essential propositions and theological ideas – but not too many – the book than moves into 17 studies of the 16 chapters of Mark’s Gospel. Each study consists of: an introduction suggesting the major themes and ideas of the chapter; Scripture passages for each event in the chapter, each followed by insightful prompts and probing questions; and then concluding with reflection questions and a concrete assignment for a first step to using what the reader has learned. The format allows for individual or group study. It also is structured to present an entire teaching theme for each chapter, or individual stories from the Gospel can be used to craft tailored quick lessons. Each module related to an account leaves plenty of white space in the text to write answers, allowing the devotional study guide to also serve as a journal of things learned and questions to be answered.
