Dale Willis Memorial GHO Scholarship Information
PURPOSE
To assist selected dentists in participating in their first Global Health Outreach (GHO) or Medical Education International (MEI) short-term medical missions experience, enabling them to become familiar with the cultural, social, spiritual, medical and dental problems in developing countries while allowing them to serve the underserved.
ELIGIBILITY
You must be:
- A CMDA member. You can join CMDA at www.joincmda.org.
- A dentist.
- First-time Global Health Outreach or Medical Education International participant. Click here for more information about GHO and a list of upcoming trips or here for more information about MEI.
METHOD OF APPLICATION
Using the form on this page, applicants must complete the form and submit to Dental Ministries. Applications will be reviewed in the order they are submitted. The application must be submitted at least three months prior to the desired trip wanting to participate on. The status of the application will be pending acceptance from Global Health Outreach. There is a maximum of one scholarship per Global Health Outreach trip.
AWARDS
Applicants will be contacted by email within two weeks of the receipt of their application. The amount of awards will be $1,500 and this amount will be applied towards the GHO or MEI trip fee.
ONLINE APPLICATION
Using the form below, each applicant must submit a letter of no more than 300 words that describes the motivation for serving in medical missions. This letter should address what the applicant hopes to learn from participating in the short-term medical missions experience.
