Mentoring Academy
Call for Applicants 2026–2027:
The Christian Medical & Dental Associations (CMDA) invites applications for the Mentoring Academy, a year-long training program designed to equip Christian healthcare professionals to become intentional, generational disciple-makers in healthcare.
About the Academy
The Mentoring Academy provides a structured yet relational framework for cultivating spiritual, professional, and personal growth. Fellows will gain skills in Christian mentoring and discipleship, preparing them to invest in the next generation of healthcare professionals.
Guided by experienced Mentoring Guides, Fellows will engage in:
- Spiritual Formation – Building habits of prayer, Scripture study, worship, and discipleship.
- Professional Formation – Navigating ethical challenges, career and specialty choice, and the realities of healthcare training with a Christ-centered worldview.
- Personal Growth – Addressing resilience, relationships, finances, and wellness as a healthcare professional.
The program spans 12 months (April 2026 – April 2027) and includes:
- In-person sessions at CMDA’s National Convention (NatCon) (Kick-off & Graduation) and a Mid-course gathering
- Large-group virtual sessions with guest speakers and faculty mentors
- Monthly one-on-one mentoring with an assigned Guide
- Self-directed reading, reflection, and application activities
Graduates of the Academy will be equipped to mentor others, multiply their impact, and advance the Great Commission in healthcare.
Program Highlights
- Duration: April 2026 – April 2027
- Time Commitment: ~44 hours across the year (combination of in-person, virtual, and self-study)
- Format: Blended learning (in-person + online)
- Mentoring: One-on-one Guide relationship throughout the year
- Community: Opportunities to learn alongside peers and leaders in Christian healthcare
- Certification: Completion recognized at the Academy Graduation during NatCon 2027
Program Cost:
- $2000 course fee includes:
- All books and learning materials
- 10 hours of Continuing Education credit
- Lodging and meals for October in-person session
Eligibility
- Christian physicians, dentists, and healthcare professionals
- Commitment to attend 3 in-person sessions:
- April 24, 2026: Kick-off at NatCon 2026
- October 17, 2026: Mid-Course Meeting (location TBD)
- April 2027: Luncheon and Graduation at NatCon 2027
- Actively participate in monthly virtual meetings throughout the year.
- Desire to grow as a disciple-maker and invest in future generations of healthcare professionals.
