CMDA Missions exists to help Christian healthcare professionals use their skills for something greater than a career—to bring the hope and healing of Christ to people here in the U.S. and around the world. We mobilize and support those who go, teach and equip colleagues in nations that ask for help, provide hands-on medical, dental, and surgical care to the poor and underserved, strengthen the Christian leaders who guide healthcare organizations, and advance the ongoing education that keeps professional excellence sharp. Whether you're called to serve for a week or a lifetime, to go abroad or to lead where you already are, there's a place for you—because every skill, every specialty, and every act of compassion can point someone to Jesus.
Medical Education International (MEI)
A short-term mission program where self-funded healthcare professionals and trainees serve low- and middle-income countries by delivering requested academic and clinical training. By equipping local professionals, supporting national Christian medical associations, and providing trip scholarships for trainees, MEI aims to elevate healthcare quality while demonstrating the compassionate love of Jesus.
Global Health Outreach (GHO)
Global Health Outreach is a short-term international missions ministry of CMDA. We are dedicated to providing healthcare while spreading the gospel by sending medical, dental and surgical teams around the world. Our teams minister in outpatient primary care medicine and dentistry, as well as in small and large hospitals to provide surgical services. We partner with those who are focused on ministering to unreached people in challenging areas around the world, where we share our Savior’s love in real, tangible ways.
Christian Healthcare Executive Collaborative (CHEC)
A community of Christians engaged in roles of healthcare leadership, including executives, administrators, managers and clinicians. We are linked together by a common interest in leading well and serving our organizations and our communities through the leading of the Holy Spirit. As a section of the Christian Medical & Dental Associations®, the largest fellowship of Christian healthcare professionals, we recognize the unique challenges and responsibility carried by those desiring to be faithful Christian stewards within healthcare teams (1 Corinthians 12:28, Romans 12:8).
Center for Advancing Healthcare Missions (CAHM)
Represents the missional DNA that runs throughout CMDA. CAHM seeks to mobilize and support physicians, dentists, nurses, therapists and other health personnel to use their professional skills to help people encounter Jesus, here in the US and around the world. As a ministry of Christian Medical & Dental Associations®, the overall goal of the Center for Advancing Healthcare Missions is to help develop new ways to advance the cause of healthcare missions and international healthcare, as well as to serve healthcare missionaries in their work for Christ.
Continuing Education (CE)
The CE mission is to enhance our learners' competence and performance by developing and implementing a broad range of educational activities designed to convey up-to-date clinical practices and professional staff development. For CMDA CE to achieve its mission, 70% of the activity respondents will indicate changes through improvement in competence, performance, or patient outcomes on their outcome surveys.
