John G. Pierce Jr., MD
John G. Pierce Jr., MD, is Chairman of Women’s Health at Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine (LUCOM) and practices Obstetrics and Gynecology at Women’s Health Services of Central Virginia in Lynchburg, VA.
Dr. Pierce completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Carolinas Medical Center, then completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency at the University of Florida Health Science Center, Jacksonville. He was a faculty member at Virginia Commonwealth University for 16 years, serving as the Ob/Gyn Clerkship Director for nine years and Program Director for the Ob/Gyn Residency for three years. He moved to Lynchburg, VA in 2015 to be part of the founding faculty for Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine where he designed the women’s health curriculum, serves as the Clerkship Director, and has been the Chairman of Surgical Services and Women’s Health. He continues to practice general obstetrics and gynecology, serves on the CMDA Board of Trustees, leads the PAACS Ob Gyn Council, and is the current Chair of the CMDA Ob Gyn Section. He has been married to his wife Nicole for 29 years and they have four children ages 16 to 26 years old.
Steven Foley, MD, FACOG
Dr. Steven Foley, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist currently practicing as an OB hospitalist in several rural hospitals in Indiana. He graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University and completed medical school and residency training at Indiana University in Indianapolis. He has been actively involved supporting pregnancy resource centers throughout his professional life and currently serves as the vice chairman of the OB/GYN section of CMDA. He is active with AAPLOG and has assisted in several litigations with Alliance Defending Freedom. In addition, Dr. Foley has led short-term medical mission teams over the years to hospitals in Haiti, Sierra Leone, Zambia, as well as several countries in Central and South America.
Kerri Brackney, MD, FACOG
Dr. Kerri Brackney is a board-certified OB/GYN and an active candidate for board certification in Maternal Fetal Medicine. She currently works as an academic MFM physician in Memphis, Tennessee.
Dr. Brackney received her undergraduate education at Bryan College in Dayton, TN. She completed medical school at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 2006 and her OB/GYN residency at Penn State Health in 2010. After practicing as an OB/GYN for eight years, she completed a one-year fellowship in Obstetric Ultrasound at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2019 followed by a three-year fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at the combined MetroHealth/University Hospitals/Case Western Reserve University program in 2022.
Dr. Brackney is a member of the Christian Medical and Dental Association and its outreach, the Women Physician and Dentists in Christ. She is on the board of the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians & Gynecologists. She served for three years with a Christian Community Health center in Memphis and enjoys providing high risk obstetrical care for the underserved. She volunteers for a pregnancy resource center, reading obstetric ultrasound. She has a passion for both domestic and foreign missions and longs to see an American culture in which abortion is unthinkable.
Bryan Myers, MD, FACOG
Dr. Bryan Myers is a board-certified OB/GYN and is in private practice in rural middle Tennessee. He graduated from the University of Tennessee Medical School and completed his residency at UT Medical Center in Knoxville. After residency, Dr. Myers was one of the first recipients to serve through Samaritan's Purse/ World Medical Missions post-residency program. He and his wife served at Tenwek Mission Hospital, a large mission facility in western Kenya, where he continues to volunteer. He has remained active in international women's health missions and is still involved with Tenwek Mission Hospital. For years, he has been serving on the PAACS (Pan-African Academy of Christian Surgeons) OB/GYN leadership council, which started its first OB/GYN residency program at Tenwek Mission Hospital in January 2022. He also serves as the co-champion for the OB/GYN department at Tenwek through Friends of Tenwek, the hospital's non-profit organization.
In addition to his professional practice, he is also heavily involved in othernon-profit work. Myers serves as co-founder, medical director, and board member of Life Choices Pregnancy Center. The center has three branches in middle TN. He also has served for more than ten years as a board member and is now Chairman of Blue Monarch, a Christian-based abuse and addiction recovery center for mothers.
Myers is a Lifetime member of CMDA and has remained involved since being a part of the leadership team in his early years of medical school. He is one of the founding members of CMDA Southern TN chapter, where he has remained in leadership for the past decade. He is a member of CMDA's House of Representatives. He also serves as one of the Tennessee state directors for the AAME (American Academy of Medical Ethics). He is a lifetime member of AAPLOG (American Academy of Pro-Life OBGYNs).
Myers is an active member of Winchester First United Methodist Church and has been married to his wife, Jane, for 20 plus years. The couple has two sons: Wil and Brayden.
Francis Nathalapaty, MD
Dr. Nuthalapaty is a Maternal-Fetal Medicine physician and Founding Program Director for the new OBGYN Residency Program at AdventHealth - Tampa.
He attended the Northwestern University Honors Program in Medical Education, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the Northwestern University McCormick School of Engineering (Evanston, IL) and a Medical Doctorate from the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Chicago, IL). He completed an Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center (Hershey, PA), where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Nuthalapaty then completed a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Alabama Birmingham (Birmingham, AL).
Dr. Nuthalapaty is passionate about caring for women with complicated medical and obstetrical conditions during pregnancy and postpartum. He recognizes that every woman has a unique background that forms her worldview and focuses on providing compassionate and culturally sensitive care.
Dr. Nuthalapaty is a recognized expert in medical education with expertise in curriculum development, program management, and mentoring of both faculty and students. He is passionate about teaching and enjoys partnering with patients to instruct the next generation of physicians and nurses.
Elina Pfaffenbach, MD
Dr. Elina Pfaffenbach is a board-certified OB/GYN in Appleton, Wisconsin. She received her undergraduate degree in biology and chemistry from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas and her Medical Doctorate degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Pfaffenbach then completed her OB/GYN residency training at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison, WI. Following residency, she entered active duty in the United States Army and provided OB/GYN care for active duty soldiers and their spouses. After serving eight years on active duty she moved to Appleton, WI where she joined a private practice group. Dr. Pfaffenbach is currently a senior partner for her OB/GYN group Women’s Health Specialists and has been the Director for Family Fertility for the past 15 years. She also served as the OB/GYN Department Chair for the Thedacare Regional Medical Center for several years and was involved in optimizing the protocols and policies for intrapartum OB/GYN care. Dr. Pfaffenbach grew up in South Africa and is particularly passionate about quality and excellence in OB/GYN healthcare for African women. She has served a number of times at Tenwek Mission Hospital located in rural Western Kenya where she is involved in teaching and mentoring students and residents. She believes strongly in educating the next generation of OB/GYNs with particular emphasis on developing countries, and is actively involved with the OB/GYN residency program at Tenwek Mission Hospital, teaching and also serving on the educational committee for the residency program. She is a member of PAACS (Pan African Academy of Christian Surgeons) and has special interest in exploring how female surgical residents can have the best outcomes in both their personal and professional lives. Dr. Pfaffenbach is also a member of CMDA, and AAPLOG (the American Academy of Pro-Life OB/GYNs). Dr. Pfaffenbach is married to her husband, Andy, for over 25 years. They have four children ages 17 to 24. She is an active member of The Mission Church in Appleton, WI.
