Few of us in dentistry would have seen dental anatomy as our favorite course in dental school, but Dr. Samer Zaky has discovered an inherent fascination with the wonders of God’s dental creativity.  God’s exquisite design of teeth cannot be matched by even our best restorative materials and techniques.  For this reason, preservation of natural tooth structure should be our highest clinical goal as dental professionals.

About Our Guest(s)

Samer Zaky, DDS, PhD - Pic

Samer Zaky DDS, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. In researching tooth regeneration for more than two decades, Samer grew in awe about an organ that is developmentally a marvel, functionally unparalleled, and esthetically beautiful. His shareworthy amazement about the wondrous and priceless natural tooth is reflected in his tireless teaching to his students and in his unwavering preaching to his patients with always a single and simple take-home message: appreciate natural tooth structure and treasure prevention that, in dentistry more than any other medical profession, is indeed the cure. At the University of Pittsburgh, Samer’s current research targets an objective test to diagnose the nuanced degrees of inflammation in the dental pulp. Simultaneously an Egyptian and a dentist, Samer is also a Christ follower and a scientist.
