The Richmond CMDA Annual Banquet is pleased to announce CMDA Bioethics Director, Brick Lantz, MD, will be addressing “The Gospel and Bioethics.”

Our banquet will take place at Third Church in Henrico, VA. We will be gathering in the Church Fellowship Hall with a catered buffet-style meal.

Brick Lantz, MD

Dr. Brick Lantz serves as the Vice President of Advocacy and Bioethics at CMDA. He earned his B.A. in Human Biology from Stanford University, his M.D. from the University of Oklahoma, and completed an orthopedic residency at the University of Arkansas followed by a sports medicine fellowship in Sydney, Australia.

Before his recent retirement, Dr. Lantz practiced orthopedics in Eugene, Oregon, beginning in 1991. He has also served in various leadership and community roles, including board chair of a research foundation, Sunday School teacher, church elder, and youth sports coach.

A lifetime CMDA member since 1982, Dr. Lantz has served on CMDA’s Board of Trustees, represented both AAME and CMDA at the state level, and currently leads the undergraduate CMDA chapter at the University of Oregon. He also developed CMDA’s Bridging the Gap curriculum and serves as the Medical Director of a local pregnancy center.

Outside of his professional work, Dr. Lantz enjoys teaching, writing, cycling, rafting, and Nordic skiing.
