Applications are open for the 2026–27 CMDA Mentoring Academy through December 31, 2025, a year-long journey designed to help Christian healthcare professionals grow spiritually, professionally, and personally through one-on-one mentoring and blended learning. The program runs April 2026 to April 2027, launching at National Convention, with about 44 hours of in-person, virtual, and self-study components. Eligible applicants include physicians, dentists, and advanced practice providers who desire to grow as disciple-makers. George Courtney

George Courtney, VP of Stewardship Development

George completed his bachelor’s degrees at Liberty University in church ministries and Christian counseling, Certified Financial Planning coursework through East Tennessee State University, and Estate & Legacy Design training with Lifestyle Giving. He began his professional journey as a financial counselor at Liberty University, and since has served in leadership roles at Christian Medical & Dental Associations, an international healthcare mission organization, Christian day schools and higher education. For more than 36 years, George’s passion has centered on institutional advancement within Christian ministries, particularly in financial resource development. He finds great fulfillment in guiding families through their stewardship and legacy-giving decisions. George and his wife Rose have been married for 37 years and are grateful for their family, which includes son Noah, daughter-in-law Zade, and grandson Malachai.
