Join us for our 43rd annual CMDA conference at iconic Cannon Beach, OR. We invite excellent speakers to address content relevant for Christian healthcare professionals and those training, and offer times of worship, rest and fellowship. Join us for several hours of great lectures, Q&A, great food, the best children’s program of any CMDA conference, a unique experience walking miles on flat sandy beaches, unparalleled sunsets and sea stacks, zip lining, and plenty of good restaurants and art shops to name a few attractions.

LODGING & MEALS

Meals and Lodging Registration with Cannon Beach Conference Center

After you have completed your CMDA registration, EVERYONE needs to call Cannon Beach Conference Center at 503-436-1501 to secure and pay for lodging and meals or Day Attender Fee.

Please note: If you require a special diet, please complete this online Special Diet Request Form.

Just for Students and Student Spouses:

After you register with CMDA, call Cannon Beach at 503-436-1501 and identify yourself as a healthcare student to arrange your room and board ($95 per person) which you will pay to the Cannon Beach Conference Center.

CMDA student members* receive a $125 scholarship toward their room and board (provided by the healthcare professionals who attend this event). Non-CMDA student members attending the conference will pay the full price for their room and board, which is $210 per person. *There is no cost for CMDA membership for all healthcare students.

VENUE INFORMATION

An iconic destination, Cannon Beach, OR boasts the third largest monolithe Seastack in the world, Haystack Rock, and features a flat, delightful, walkable, three-mile sandy beach providing the perfect place to get away and enjoy the iconic Oregon Coast, rain or shine. And usually, January provides a window of remarkable weather for this event. Google Haystack Rock and Cannon Beach and look at the beautiful vistas. The town of Cannon Beach features many artists, great food and activities including kite flying for all levels, horseback riding, e-bikes to rent, three miles of beach combing for walking and running, and several other beach towns near by with several historical sites to enjoy. Some beaches nearby allow you to drive right on the sand! Since 1968, Oregon is one of the few states where all beaches, up to the vegetation line, allow the public complete access! What a gift!

SPEAKERS

	Dr. Kristin Collier is Clinical Associate Professor of Internal Medicine and the Director of the Program on Health, Spirituality, and Religion at the University of Michigan Medical School. Dr. Collier has published articles in top journals on the intersection of medicine and religion and speaks around the world on topics relating to medicine, religion and bioethics. Kristin will speak to us on the Christian virtue of courage in a healthcare context, as well as how to grapple with contemporary ethical issues from a Christian worldview.

	Cory Wilson, MD, MA in Philosophy of Religion and Ethics, lives and works in Southern California. His wife, Michal, is a psychologist, and his two adult sons, Caleb and Joshua, live in Southern California as well. Cory works full-time in Urgent Care for Southern California Permanente Medical Group. He is interested in issues at the intersection of Christian theology, philosophy, and medicine, focusing most closely on philosophy of mind and the mind-body problem.

	Victor Hsiao is a pediatrician in Seattle, Washington. He grew up in Redmond, WA, and studied at Princeton University before attending medical school at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. During medical school, he spent a year in Taiwan serving youth in the foster care and juvenile justice systems. He later completed pediatric residency and chief residency at the University of Washington and Seattle Children’s Hospital, including a year in Alaska focused on primary care and community health. Victor is passionate about helping people explore questions of faith, vocation, and calling. Through medicine, teaching, ministry, and cross-cultural experience, he enjoys reflecting on how God shapes us through the people, places, and stories we encounter. As a child of immigrants and someone who has moved many times throughout his life, he is especially drawn to questions of identity, transition, belonging, and what it means to faithfully follow Christ in different seasons of life. Victor enjoys being outdoors, trying to keep his houseplants alive, listening to podcasts, and serving in his local church.

Double occupancy runs between $105 and $135 depending on the building chosen.

Single occupancy is between $125 – $160.

This price includes one night’s lodging and three meals.
