If you have completed CMDA’s 501 Foundations in Coaching and 503 Coaching Change, Transition and Transformation courses, and you have logged a minimum of 20 hours of coaching experience, at least 15 of them “paid” in any form, this course is for you! Mentor Coaching in a small group cohort is one of the most important ways to grow your confidence and competence at this point in your training. It’s also a fantastic way to maximize the investment you’ve already made in learning to coach so you can actually use your training in a variety of settings. This course will begin in late September and meet weekly for seven one-hour group mentor coaching sessions on a day and time that works best for the 4-6 participants and the instructor, most likely a Monday, Wednesday or Thursday late in the day/evening Eastern Time. Each session will begin with 30 minutes of observed coaching between participants, followed by 30 minutes of debrief and discussion amongst participants and the CMDA Mentor Coach. The ICF PCC Markers and Core Competencies will be used to help guide your growth and development throughout the course. You will also have an opportunity to identify specific skills you want to work on with support from your faculty Mentor Coach and fellow cohort members. Sessions will be recorded and available for further review and learning. Each cohort participant will have an opportunity to coach at least twice so they can track their growth. Credits: Course qualifies for up to 7 AMA PRA Category 1 CME Credit(s) and 7 of the 10 required Mentor Coaching hours needed for both the CMDA/CAM CCLC certificate and ICF ACC credential. The additional 3 hours of individual Mentor Coaching can be obtained by working with one of CMDA’s coaching faculty following this course at additional cost. Group Mentor Coaching is limited to four to six participants per cohort. Questions?
