Bridging the Gap Between Faith and Medicine

About Our Guest

Student Pulse

Dr. Ashley Tauriac, MD has had a unique journey in medicine. After finishing her medical school at Vanderbilt, she faced overcoming bacterial meningitis before completing her residency. She worked for several years part time as a pediatrician, and part time planning international medical mission trips for her church. She then moved into several years working primarily as a locum, and doing intermittent opportunities like speaking and writing her own book. Currently, as a physician, she works with newborns and teaching at Vanderbilt Medical School. When asked, she’s from New Mexico, even though she has been living in Nashville, TN, for the last twenty years. She loves movies, music, dancing, and encouraging friends to discover and grow in their God-given purpose.

Host Bill Reichart talks to author Dr. Ashley Tauriac about how it isn't a choice between being an "excellent" Christian and an "excellent" physician.
