Rachel Fisher Bright is a third-year medical student at the OU-TU School of Community Medicine. She attended college at the University of Oklahoma on a National Merit Scholarship, where she attained a degree in neurobiosciences and human behavior with an honors minor in cross-cultural medicine and healing, graduating summa cum laude. While at OU, Rachel spent her time mentoring new believers and helping create a college ministry program at a local church. She also directed cross-cultural research investigations in Central America and with Hispanic immigrants where she saw the impact of the social determinants of health in real life. Her dream is to practice bilingual medicine and plan, participate in and contribute annually to large-scale international medical aid, missionary work and education efforts.  Farther down the road, she would like to start a non-profit to teach medicine (in whichever field she pursues) to native workers and volunteers in developing nations.

Dr. Raedeen Russell is from the beautiful island of Jamaica, and she is currently in training as a resident physician in family medicine at Augusta University. She pursued family medicine because of her strong desire to provide quality care to patients of all ages. Additionally, she has a heart for evangelism and plans to go on healthcare mission trips, locally and globally, and she wants to be fully equipped with the knowledge and skills to diagnose and treat patients regardless of their demographics. She was president of the CMDA chapter at Morehouse School of Medicine from 2020 to 2021. She enjoys serving God and serving His people, and she has been saved for almost 24 years. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, dancing, going to the beach, volunteering and global travel.
