5:11 GROUPS

“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11”

Why 5:11 Groups?

As a healthcare missionary, you probably see and experience more drama in a typical month than many people experience in a lifetime. You share Jesus with people who don’t yet know Him. You have a high sense of purpose, duty, and calling. This way of life often brings challenges. These challenges, when left unexplored or unaddressed, can contribute to spiritual dissonance, relational conflict, and even departure from the field.

What are 5:11 Groups?

5:11 Groups are made up of long-term healthcare missionaries that meet together virtually. It’s a supportive place for content-focused discussion along with mutual support and encouragement. Meetings are an hour long, and include a five to ten-minute video primer, followed by facilitated discussion and prayer.

What’s the commitment?

Twelve one-hour sessions, usually meeting on Zoom every two weeks. We do ask that those who sign up make it a priority to attend in order to build trust and rapport among group members.
