A malpractice lawsuit can wreak havoc on a healthcare professional's family, career and emotional and spiritual wellbeing. The effects can be devastating. Malpractice can isolate you from colleagues, friends and even family, but you can choose to mitigate that by calling the requesting contact with a colleague who has already been through malpractice. Calls will not discuss your case and do not give legal advice. Instead a colleague will give you emotional and spiritual support while keeping your conversations strictly confidential. They participate to lend a sympathetic ear and to encourage and pray with you.
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)
