Rev. Dr. Stephen Ko serves as Senior Pastor of New York Chinese Alliance Church in Manhattan. As an ordained Christian and Missionary Alliance pastor, he is passionate about the gospel, global health missions and holistic ministry. In addition to seminary training, Dr. Ko’s healthcare specialties include pediatrics, preventive medicine and public health. Previously, Stephen served as Global Health Professor at Boston University’s School of Public Health, Adjunct Professor at Alliance Theological Seminary and Medical Officer for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.  He has worked extensively in Africa and Southeast Asia on diseases of epidemic potential, helping low- and middle-income countries implement their national public health programs.  Helping individuals embrace evangelism and galvanizing faith-based organizations to action is a particular desire. Stephen enjoys helping individuals flourish in faith, mentoring church leaders and teaching seminary and graduate students. He is passionate about vitality in faith and health, and he writes at the intersection of faith, medicine and public health.
