Unthinkable: Dr. Abby Johnson on Leaving Planned Parenthood and Exposing the Abortion Industry

Dr. Abby Johnson, former Planned Parenthood clinic director and now founder of And Then There Were None and ProLove Ministries, joins Faith in Healthcare host Dr. Mike Chupp and guest co-host Dr. Brick Lantz to share behind-the-scenes of the abortion industry. Abby reflects on the moment that shook her to the core – a 13-week-old baby struggling for life on an ultrasound screen – and how it opened her eyes to the pressures, secrecy, quotas, and profound emotional and spiritual burdens carried by workers in the abortion industry. She also shares about her upcoming documentary Unthinkable and explains why she believes the most effective outreach to women in crisis is shifting to the digital “sidewalks” of social media. With more than 700 abortion workers helped to leave the industry and a journey that inspired the book and film Unplanned, Abby brings a difficult but ultimately hope-filled testimony of redemption and calling.

Abby Johnson 2025

Abby Johnson is founder and CEO of And Then There Were None and ProLove Ministries.

Abby Johnson worked for Planned Parenthood for eight years, working her way up through the ranks to become the clinic director in Bryan, Texas. She was Planned Parenthood’s Employee of the Year in 2008, but she walked away from her job after witnessing the abortion of a 13-week-old fetus during an ultrasound-guided abortion.

In 2012, she founded And Then There Were None, the only ministry in the nation that helps abortion workers leave their jobs and find new ones out of the industry. To date, she has helped over 700 abortion workers quit.

She also founded ProLove Ministries and LoveLine in the fall of 2019. Her bestselling book, Unplanned, was made into a feature film that debuted in theaters nationwide March 2019 under the same name. She and her husband, Doug, have eight children.
