Meet Our Guest(s):
Dr. Kim, a CMDA member for 30 years, began his career by graduating from the Air Force Academy. During a short-term mission trip to Ecuador, he felt called by God into medicine. He subsequently graduated from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, completed residencies in Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine, and earned an MPH during his 27-year career in the Air Force. Alongside his wife, Lisa, and their four children, Dr. Kim has lived in, served, and traveled to more than 40 countries, frequently participating in short-term medical missions around the world. Today, he co-leads the Colorado Springs chapter of CMDA alongside Dr. Shay Moore.
Dr. Shay Moore is a family physician with a passion for caring for older adults and building healthy communities. She first joined the Christian Medical and Dental Association as a medical student in Dallas, Texas, inspired by incredible mentors and peers. Her favorite memories of training included planning medical missions to Mexico, rotating at Tenwek Hospital in Kenya, and attending Medical Week at Spring Canyon with Officers’ Christian Fellowship in Colorado. After completing residency in Family Medicine with the US Air Force, Dr. Moore’s military career spanned several states and roles, culminating in retirement out of Scott AFB in 2025. She and her husband Brian reside in Colorado Springs, where they spend time planning adventures with their three children, which usually includes weekly trips to Costco. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Moore is actively involved in supporting fellow healthcare professionals through her leadership with the CMDA Colorado Springs chapter. She is committed to advancing compassionate, patient-centered care and fostering a community where healthcare professionals can grow both personally and professionally.
