Derek is happily married to Wendy Carrick-Hadinger, and has one biological daughter plus a stepdaughter and stepson who are all amazing and inspiring in his creative journeys. As of this writing, Derek is going back into nursing with renewed vigor and a passion for continuing to do the work he was called to do.
