About Our Guest
Dr. Jonathan Spenn has been a CMDA member since 2003 while attending Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. Jonathan’s closer involvement with CMDA began on a Global Health Outreach (GHO) trip to El Salvador his junior year of college. Jonathan has served on CMDA Continuing Education Committee since 2018. Following graduation from dental school, he served as a general dentist in the US Army from 2008-2016. He has spent the past seven years of his career at the Florida Department of Health in Ocala, Florida, while also serving as the Dental Advisor/Instructor for Indigenous People’s Technology & Education Center (ITEC). Jonathan and his wife, Amy, are thrilled to be able to move back to the Midwest to be closer to their family and be immersed in the Midwest culture that they’ve missed. Jonathan feels that God has given him a passion for evangelism, dentistry, apologetics, and missions. He enjoys teaching others, attending conferences and networking and finds joy in helping young people navigate their career choices as they navigate dental school and other opportunities after graduation.
