Rediscovering Joy & Purpose in Your Healthcare Calling with Dr. Ann Tsen
Dr. Ann Tsen, a physician, certified Physician Coach, and co-founder of CMDA’s Coaching and Coaching Training program, joins Dr. Chupp to explore a struggle many are facing: when the work you once felt called to no longer brings the same sense of joy or purpose. This episode examines the deeper roots of burnout and dissatisfaction in medicine and offers a Christ-centered perspective on how to begin rediscovering meaning and joy in your calling.
If today’s episode encouraged you, please share it with a colleague, friend, or fellow healthcare professional. And if you’re looking for support in your own calling, CMDA’s coaching ministry offers personalized, faith-based coaching to help you heal from burnout, grow professionally, and reconnect with God in the midst of your work. At CMDA, we want to help Christian healthcare professionals live out their faith with both conviction and compassion. One way we do that is through Standing Strong, a three-tiered curriculum designed for students, residents, and practicing clinicians. Standing Strong equips Christians in healthcare to remain grounded in biblical truth while navigating increasing cultural pressures with wisdom and Christlike care. You can learn more at cmda.org/standing-strong.
We’re also grateful for our premier sponsors who are supporting CMDA’s 2026 National Convention, Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Samaritan’s Purse World Medical Mission. LUCOM is committed to training Christ-centered physicians through a student-focused, distinctly Christian medical education, and Samaritan’s Purse continues to provide both spiritual and physical care to those in need around the world in the name of Jesus Christ. Both organizations will be at the convention – LUCOM at Booth 63 and Samaritan’s Purse at Booth 64 – so be sure to stop by to learn more about their work and connect with their teams. This year’s National Convention will be held April 23–26 in Loveland, Colorado, and it’s coming up quickly. If you haven’t registered yet, now is the time.
